The inaugural season has come to a close, and what a successful one it was for everyone involved. Coming into my first professional season I had high expectations and they were far exceeded thanks to the overwhelming support from the Titans fans this season.

I speak for the entire team, coaching staff and front office when I say thank you to you the fans for making the Sovereign Bank Arena an enjoyable, energetic environment to play in for 41 dates this season. Whether we were playing a game after five days off, or our third game in as many nights, every one of us fed off the electricity generated by the fans. From opening night until that last playoff home game (May 7), we as players played hard and the fans reciprocated by showing loyalty with their support in making the players proud to don the Titans jersey in the Sovereign Bank Arena.

The coaching staff and trainers worked extremely hard behind the scenes, which contributed to the team’s overall success. Preparation plays a big part in professional hockey, and there wasn’t a day that we as a team were not prepared to face the challenge ahead, whether in practice or on game day. The fans should be just as appreciative of the coaching staff and trainers as they would of any of the players.

The Titans organization as a whole worked very hard to make Sovereign Bank Arena an enjoyable atmosphere for people of all ages. They put in a lot of time and effort into creating this amazing environment for us to play in this season. I am sure that you as fans enjoyed the extra-curricular festivities that occurred during breaks in the action and between periods. It all played a part in making this one of the most successful franchises in the East Coast Hockey League.

The staff at the Sovereign Bank Arena maintained a professional operation and provided both players and fans with a major league facility in a minor league market. It is not easy to juggle a facility such as this when hosting a plethora of events. We as players appreciated the arena staffs’ effort, as it was always ready to go on game days.

In closing, I would just like to express my gratitude to everyone who attended a Trenton Titans game during our inaugural season. I am sure in years to come there will be many more exciting moments for Titans fans. On behalf of the entire Titans organization, thank you for making this one of the most enjoyable seasons. For me personally, the entire experience was memorable in more ways than one. Have a great summer!

Sincerely,
Jed Whitchurch #20
