Ron Sutter finished the 2000/2001 season with the Calgary Flames. He has retired as a player and remains with the Flames as a Pro Scout. Ron and wife Margo have twin daughters Reigan and Madisen, and a son Riley Chance.

CAREER NOTES: Ron Sutter made his NHL debut on November 28, 1982 with the Philadelphia Flyers against the Vancouver Canucks. He was traded from the Flyers with Murray Baron on 9/22/91 to the St. Louis Blues for Dan Quinn and Rod Brind'Amour. He was traded from the St. Louis Blues with Garth Butcher and Bob Bassen on 1/23/94 to the Quebec Nordiques for Steve Duchesne and Denis Chasse. Ron was traded from the Quebec Nordiques with a 1st round 1994 Entry Draft Pick (Brett Lindros) on 6/28/94 to the New York Islanders for Uwe Krupp and a 1st round 1994 Entry Draft pick (Wade Belak). He signed as a free agent with the Boston Bruins on 3/9/96, and later with the San Jose Sharks on 10/12/96. He was cut by the Sharks during their 2000/2001 training camp, then signed with the Calgary Flames on 2/16/01. Ron was the Captain for the Philadelphia Flyers from 1989 to 1991.
